Illinois Lawmakers Consider Taxing Online Streaming Services
(Springfield, IL) — Illinois lawmakers are considering taxing online streaming services. The proposed five-percent tax on service providers and one-percent tax on customers would apply to services like Netflix, Hulu, and DirecTV. The bill is set for a second hearing and possible vote on Thursday.
