Protesters Push For Permanent Solution To Middle Fork River Erosion
(Danville, IL) — Protesters are pushing for a permanent solution to stop coal ash from seeping into the Middle Fork River. Coal ash from an old Dynegy power plant has been eroding the riverbank. About 250 people attended a public hearing yesterday to question the company’s plan to fix the problem by building a stone wall against the riverbank.
