(Undated) — Billboard may revisit its decision to remove “Old Town Road” off its Hot Country Songs list. It removed the Lil Nas X song last month as it was soaring on the list because they deemed it not country enough. The song has some rap but obvious country themes. The fact that Billboard was removing a song on the country list by a black artist caused controversy. The 19-year-old released a remix version of the song featuring Billy Ray Cyrus on Friday. Billboard sent a statement to Rolling Stone magazine saying they will continue to monitor how it is marketed and how fans respond. They said the initial decision to remove it could be revisited as those factors evolve.
