A substitute teacher has been banned from Dieterich Jr. Sr. High School after a student says he touched him and said sexually inappropriate things to him in a special education class. The school district released a statement saying, “Upon learning of an inappropriate conversation between a substitute teacher and a student, the administrative team took immediate and appropriate action. The substitute teacher was removed from the assignment, dismissed for the day, and their services will not be utilized in the future.” The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating. The teacher has not been arrested or charged.
