Cardinals Crush Dodgers For Sweep
(St. Louis, MO) — The Cardinals scored four runs in the fifth inning and two more in the sixth to rally for an 11-7 win over the Dodgers in St. Louis. Matt Wieters knocked in three runs and Harrison Bader plated two for the Redbirds, who swept the four-game series and have won five straight overall. Jose Martinez finished 4-for-5 with an RBI and three runs scored in the victory. Giovanny Gallegos picked up the win in relief. Kike Hernandez, David Freese and Walker Buehler all hit home runs for the Dodgers, who entered the series riding a five-game winning streak. Pedro Baez suffered the loss. LA is now 8-and-6 on the year.
