Cubs Shut Out Pirates Behind Quintana
(Chicago, IL) — Jose Quintana tossed seven shutout innings as the Cubs blanked the Pirates 2-0 at Wrigley Field. Quintana struck out 11 while allowing four hits and a walk for the win. Pedro Strop [[ Strope ]] notched his first save. Daniel Descalso and Victor Caratini drove in runs in the seventh as Chicago won the rubber match of the three-game series. Joe Musgrove gave up two unearned runs over six-and-a-third frames to take the tough-luck the loss for Pittsburgh. Adam Frazier had two of the Bucs’ five hits in defeat.
