ISP Introducing New Technology To Mitigate Backlog Of Rape Kit Tests
(Springfield, IL) — The Illinois State Patrol is introducing new technology to help mitigate the backlog of rape kit tests. Governor JB Pritzker and media members got a demonstration of the Laboratory Information Management System yesterday. The new technology is intended to streamline how scientists process evidence efficiently. Officials say LIMS will also let local law enforcement see where the forensic process is for particular cases.
