Illinois Graduated Income Tax Package Advances To Senate Floor
(Springfield, IL) — A proposed Illinois graduated income tax package is moving forward to the Senate floor. The state Senate Executive Committee advanced the bills yesterday along partisan lines. The three measures include a repeal of the Illinois estate tax and a conditional property tax freeze for school districts as long as certain state funding requirements are met. All three passed without Republican support.
