George Dixon, who played the past season for Junior College National Champion Vincennes University, is the first player to sign with the EIU men’s basketball program this spring. The 6’5, 230 pound Dixon averaged 11.2 points and 9.1 rebounds per game this past season earning All-Region 24 honors. He led the nation in offensive rebounds with 164. Dixon posted 11 double figure rebounding games with a high of 20 during the season. He finished the year shooting 56.2 percent from the floor.
