(Waukegan, IL) — Authorities now say three people are dead and four others were injured after an explosion and fire at a chemical plant near Chicago. The blast happened at the A-B Specialty Silicones plant in Waukegan. The explosion was reportedly heard up to 20 miles away and shook the ground in neighboring communities. More than 100 firefighters battled the blaze through the night. Fire investigators are looking into the cause of the deadly blast.
