In what was deemed a “safety threat,” Martinsville Elementary School dismissed late yesterday (May 16, 2019). According to the Martinsville Police Department, students were taken to shelter until the area was deemed safe. Shortly before the scheduled dismissal, students reported seeing a stranger north of the playground, which prompted the delayed dismissal.
