Family Recovering After Prison Transport Rear-Ends Rental Car
(Altamont, IL) — Three members of a family are recovering after a prison transport van rear-ended their rental car. The crash happened early Saturday morning on I-70 in outside of Altamont. Two adults and a ten-year-old in the rental were taken to the hospital and are all okay. Three other children were in the car. State police say two guards and four prisoners were in the van, and no one was injured.
