Illinois Joins In Lawsuit Over Health Care Rules

(Springfield, IL) — Illinois is joining the fight against new federal health care regulations. The rules state that hospitals and clinics that receive federal funds must abide by federal laws and protect religious rights. Illinois joined nearly two-dozen other states in a lawsuit over the rules, saying they allow providers to deny services that conflict with their beliefs.
