E. Coli Risk Leads To Recall Of 62,000 Of Raw Beef Cuts
(Undated) — A recall is out for more than 62-thousand pounds of raw beef cuts that might be contaminated with E. coli. The recall covers short ribs, ribeye steaks, and briskets from a meat packing company in Illinois. The recall notice says there are no reports of anyone getting sick from eating meat included in the recall. The beef cuts were packaged by Aurora Packing on April 19th.
E. coli infections typically happen three to four days after eating contaminated food and symptoms show up after five to seven days. Symptoms include severe stomach cramps, diarrhea, and vomiting.
