LGBTQ Curriculum Bill Advances To Governor’s Desk
(Springfield, IL) — A bill that would include LGBTQ historical contributions in public school curriculum is headed to Governor Pritzker’s desk. The Inclusive Curriculum Bill passed the Illinois Senate yesterday on a bipartisan vote. The current Illinoisschool code mandates a history curriculum that includes historically marginalized communities such as people of color, women, immigrant communities, and people with disabilities.
