Montrose Blacktop to close May 28, Bridge replacement over Brush Creek south of Illinois 121
MONTROSE – The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that the Montrose Blacktop will close about 1.5 miles south of Illinois 121 on Tuesday, May 28.
The closure is necessary to replace the bridge over Brush Creek. A detour will be posted to guide motorists safely around the closure. Work is expected to be complete by mid-August.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
