Due to a traffic crash involving two truck tractor/semi-trailers in the construction zone on I-70 eastbound, traffic is currently being diverted to U.S. 40 at exit 82 (Altamont). The diversion may last up to two hours. Avoid the area if possible.
Additionally, after the eastbound traffic clears, I-70 westbound traffic will then be diverted onto U.S. 40 at exit 82 (Altamont), while a truck tractor/semi trailer is removed.
Motorists are reminded to operate alert and watch for slowed or stopped traffic in and near construction zones.
