According to Illinois State Police, a traffic crash resulting injuries occured on US 51 North near Wood street, Maroa, in Macon County Friday night. Preliminary details state that a black 2014 Hyundai Coupe was traveling westbound on Wood street at US 51, while a 2007 Suzuki Motorcyle was traveling along Northbound US-51. The Hyundai, driven by Justin Burris, 36, of Clinton Illinois, pulled out in front of the motorcycle, causing it to smash into the rear driver’s side. The motorcyclist was ejected from his motorcycle and sent to the hospital with life threatening injuries. Burris was also sent to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries, and was issued a citation for Failure to Yield at a stoplight.
