Illinois Budget Bills Include 288K Pay Raise For Lawmakers
(Springfield, IL) — An error in drafting the state budget bills could cost taxpayers an extra 288-thousand dollars. The error led to lawmakers voting to give themselves a nearly two-and-a-half percent cost-of-living adjustment. Illinois lawmakers have the fifth highest salaries in the country.
