(New York, NY) — The mayor of New York City says there’s no evidence that a helicopter crash on top of a building in Manhattan was an act of terror. Mayor Bill de Blasio confirmed that one person died in the crash, and it was the pilot of the helicopter. There weren’t any passengers were on board. NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill said the helicopter was privately owned. An investigation is still underway into the matter, including whether the pilot was in contact with air traffic control during the flight. New York officials said there’s no sign of any ongoing threat to New York City.
