Pritzker-Ordered Audit Makes Recommendations To Improve Illinois Veterans Homes
(Carbondale, IL) — An audit of the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs is being made public. The review ordered by Governor J.B. Pritzker went over more than 250 policies and procedures, and also includes the results of an employee and resident survey, and onsite inspections at each of the agency’s four veterans homes. Pritzker requested the review after 15 deaths from Legionnaires’ at two separate homes.
