(Los Angeles, CA) — “The Secret Life of Pets 2” is this week’s top movie in the U.S. and Canada. The sequel to the 2016 animated film earned just over 47-million-dollars in its first weekend in North American theaters. Coming in second is “Dark Phoenix,” which sold 33-million-bucks worth of tickets in its debut weekend. In third place is Disney’s live action version of “Aladdin” followed by “Godzilla: King of the Monsters.” The Elton John movie “Rocketman” rounds out this week’s Top Five.
