Our condolences to the family of hall of fame basketball coach Jim Dudley, who passed away last week. Dudley’s 1994-1995 Lake Land men’s basketball team led all junior college teams in the nation in scoring, averaging 112 points per game. In addition to Lake Land, Dudley also coached at SIU-Edwardsville and Cincinnati. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church of Mattoon. Memorial donations in his honor may be given to the Lake Land College Athletics Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Association.
