Ruth Jersey Breaks Auction Record
(New York, NY) — A Babe Ruth jersey is the new record holder for the most expensive piece of sports memorabilia. The New York Yankees jersey, dating from 1928 to 1930, sold for more than five-point-six-million-dollars at auction Saturday. It was one of several hundred items up for sale at the auction held at Yankee Stadium. It broke the previous record of four-point-four-million-dollars, also for a Babe Ruth jersey.
