30th Annual Statewide Rural Health Conference Set for Champaign
Champaign – The Illinois Rural Health Association (IRHA) will host its 30th Annual Educational Conference August 7-8th at the Hilton Garden Inn in Champaign. The theme of this year’s conference is “30 Years of Improving Rural Health”. The Conference is an opportunity for rural healthcare administrators and clinicians to advance their professional skills, while networking and learning best practices from their counterparts throughout the state. Attendees will have more than 20 concurrent workshops and panel discussions to choose from over the two-day conference, all geared towards rural practice, including: Advances in Telehealth, Combating the Opioid Crisis, Dementia Care, Reducing Readmissions, Successful Care Coordination, the Value of Community Health Workers, and much more. There will also be a specific workshop track for Rural Health Clinics administrators. General Sessions topics include “Rural Hospital Renaissance” and “Hot Topics in the Federal Rural Health Arena” and the closing session will be an update from the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services.
Sponsorship opportunities and limited exhibit space starting at $600, is still available to organizations and businesses who would like to gain exposure to leaders in Illinois’ rural health community. There will also be evening networking socials on the evening of Wednesday, Aug. 7th, and on August 8th the Annual Rural Health Awards Luncheon will take place, honoring those which have made great strides to improve access to rural health care.
