Italy To Host 2026 Winter Olympics

(Switzerland) — Italy will host the 2026 Winter Olympics. Sweden and Italy went head-to-head today with the Olympic Committee in Switzerland in their bid to win the rights to play host. The Italy games will take place in Milan-Cortina. Sweden hosted the summer games in 1912 but has never staged the Winter Olympics. Italy has hosted the Winter Olympics twice, most recently in 2006.
