Zhang Family Reacts To Guilty Verdict
(Peoria, IL) — The Zhang family says the guilty verdict in the kidnapping and murder of their daughter is a victory, but won’t bring Yingying back. Zhang’s father was subdued in the courtroom while the verdict against Brendt Christensen was read yesterday, but gave an emotional statement outside. The family is requesting that prosecutors seek the death penalty in the case. They also say that finding Yingying’s body would bring them closure.
