New Contract Signals Return To Normalcy For Unions Under Pritzker
(Chicago, IL) — Illinois’ largest state workers union says a new contract signals a return to normalcy for unions under Governor J.B. Pritzker. The union that represents nearly 40-thousand prison guards, child welfare caseworkers, and other state employees approved a contract last week. The move ended four years of negotiations with the previous administration and six months of talks with Pritzker’s representatives.
