Senator Duckworth, Representative LaHood Weigh In On Iran Tensions
(Washington, DC) — Two Illinois lawmakers are speaking out about the rising tensions between the U.S. and Iran. Republican Representative Darin LaHood released a statement yesterday supporting President Trump’s move to place financial sanctions against Iran. Democratic Senator Tammy Duckworth spoke on the Senate floor, criticizing Trump’s approach. Duckworth said that troops shouldn’t be used as chess pieces in a manufactured crisis.
