(Springfield, IL) — The State of Illinois will remove marijuana convictions for hundreds of thousands of people when marijuana is made legal in the state. Governor J.B. Pritzker signed a bill earlier this week making recreational use legal with certain limitations starting in 2020. Reports say that bill also offers relief to anyone who’s been convicted of possessing up to 30 grams of marijuana. Anyone caught with 30 to 500 grams can petition their charge in court.
