Champaign Roads Buckling Because Of Heat
(Champaign, IL) — High temperatures in Champaign are causing roads to buckle and crack. Pavement snapped and crumbled on Route 51 near Maroa and also near Wapella. The heat causes concrete to expand and crack under the pressure. IDOT is busy trying to fix buckled roads.
