Illinois Behind Schedule With New Gambling Law
(Chicago, IL) — Illinois is already behind schedule with its new gambling law. The state was supposed to pick a firm to study a Chicago casino by the beginning of the week. That didn’t happen, and might not happen for a while because Illinois has yet to fill-out the state’s Gaming Board. Governor Pritzker said he’s not worried about the deadlines yet. He said the state is working to find the right people and make the right decisions regarding a Chicago casino, and five others. The deadline for Illinois’ other casinos will be here soon as well. Action is required on those casinos by mid-October.
