Illinois Governor Pulls Two WIU Trustees, Meeting Canceled
(Moline, IL) — There are more questions about who’s running Western Illinois University. Trustees were supposed to start two days of meetings in the Quad Cities yesterday, but those meetings were canceled when Governor Pritzker withdrew support for two trustees. The chaos comes after Western President Jack Thomas resigned under pressure earlier this summer. The two trustees served at Western for just about four months.
