Illinois GOP Delegation Silent On Trump Tweet
(Springfield, IL) — The Illinois GOP delegation is remaining silent on a controversial tweet by President Trump. Trump made a tweet referring to four “Progressive Democrat Congresswomen” that they should go back and fix the “crime infested” countries they came from. All four of the women he is believed to be referring to are American citizens. Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, and Rashida Tlaib were each born in the United States. Representative from Minnesota Ilhan Omar moved to the U.S. from Somalia as a child refugee. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spoke out against the comments, tweeting that Trump’s plan is “about making America white again.”
