Changes Coming To Railroad Crossing Where Child Died
(Danville, IL) — Safety improvements are being made at a railroad crossing in Danville where a teenager was hit and killed in 2017. The city council approved a plan last night to install crossing arms and other warning signs at the North Griffin Street crossing. There were no crossing arms there to stop 13-year-old Deon Jackson when he was hit by a train while riding his bike across the tracks.
