Three Killed In Interstate Crash
(Effingham, IL) — State police say three people died over the weekend in a crash on I-70. The collision happened late Saturday morning and three vehicles were involved. Police say a freightliner didn’t slow down for a construction zone and collided with the back of an SUV. The impact shoved the SUV into a semi. Three people inside the SUV were killed, and two others in the vehicle were hurt. The driver of the freightliner is facing a charge of failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
