New Illinois Law Aims To Fight Wrongful Tree Cutting
(Rockford, IL) — A new Illinois law aims to fight wrongful tree cutting. Governor J.B. Pritzker signed a bill last week to update the Wrongful Tree Cutting Act. The new law will increase penalties and provide compensation for damage and remediation costs because of illegal logging on protected land.
