Power Restored At ISU After Second Outage In A Week
(Normal, IL) — A squirrel is being blamed for an outage at the Illinois State University campus in Normal. Power was restored late yesterday morning after several buildings were left in the dark and without phone service. A spokesman says the second outage in a week was set off after a squirrel got into a substation on Osage Street causing equipment to short circuit. An outage Friday was blamed on a malfunctioning sensor within a substation.
