Local news reports in Ohio say at least ten people are dead from an active shooter near downtown Dayton. The Dayton Daily News says gunfire erupted near a bar in Dayton’s Oregon District, resulting in multiple fatalities and several injuries. A spokesperson for a local hospital told NBC News they were treating 16 victims. Earlier reports said the shooter was down, and that police were searching for a second shooter. The shooting happened around midnight near Ned Pepper’s bar. Dayton Police are asking people in a tweet to avoid the area.
