Google Pledges Greener Products
(Mountain View, CA) — Google is pledging to have a greener future for its products. The tech giant says by 2022, all of its hardware products will contain recycled materials, with some starting later this year. The list includes products like Pixel phones, Google Home Speakers, phone cases and charging stands. Google says it has already started using recycled plastics in Chromecast devices and in the fabric on Google homes and cases. By 2020, Google has promised to make all of its shipments going to or from customers carbon neutral.
