ISP Adds Trooper Gerald Ellis’ Name To Memorial Wall
(Springfield, IL) — Illinois State Police Trooper Gerald Ellis’ name is now on the department’s Memorial Wall. Dozens gathered in Springfield yesterday to honor the fallen trooper as his name was place on the wall. Ellis was killed earlier this year when he was hit by a driver going the wrong way down I-94. He is the third trooper to be killed in the line of duty this year. He was an eleven-year veteran of the ISP.
