Former Illinois Governor, Son Set Out From Quad Cities
(Rock Island, IL) — Pat Quinn isn’t running for anything, but he is walking for a cause. The former Illinois governor yesterday started a 190-mile walk across the state to raise awareness of the state’s homeless population. Quinn hiked a similar march back in 2001 to raise awareness for universal healthcare. The former governor says it will take him and his son, who’s also walking, a little bit more than a week to cross the state.
