The Coles County Coroner’s office says the victims in a suspected murder-suicide are husband and wife. Joseph and Rachel McFarland were found shot to death Friday night inside a home on the 800-block of Oklahoma Avenue in Mattoon. Police are investigating the deaths as a murder-suicide. They leave behind a child.
