High Demand For New Champaign Affordable Housing Units
(Champaign, IL) — The demand for living spaces at a new affordable housing development in Champaign is way higher than the availability. Over nine-hundred applications were received for about 90 available homes at Bristol Place when the waitlist was opened one day earlier this month, according to the Champaign County Housing Authority. The agency is telling people not to be discouraged if they applied for a unit and don’t get it. Bristol Place is expected to open in October.
