A two-vehicle crash in Fayette County claimed one life yesterday. According to the Illinois State Police, a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Jessica Wagner was westbound on Route 40 near Vandalia when she entered the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 59-year-old Penny Wilson, also of Vandalia. Wagner was killed, and Wilson was airlifted to St. John’s in Springfield.
