NASA is investigating what may be the first criminal case in space. The New York Times is reporting astronaut Anne McClain is accused of hacking into the bank account of her estranged wife while aboard the International Space Station. Summer Worden and her parents say McClain improperly accessed their financial records as part of an effort to gain custody of the couple’s son. Worden brought an identity theft complaint to the Federal Trade Commission, but she says she didn’t notice any missing funds. McClain denies doing anything illegal and says she’s fully cooperating in the investigation. She reportedly told investigators she was monitoring the family account by using the same password created while her and Worden were still together.
