Florida Boy Runs Mile For ISP Trooper Hopkins
(Winter Springs, FL) — A ten-year-old boy from Winter Springs, Florida is running to honor fallen law enforcement officers around the country. The boy named Zechariah ran a mile Saturday for Illinois State Trooper Nicholas Hopkins. Hopkins died from his injuries after being shot Friday morning while serving a warrant in East St. Louis. Zechariah has raised over 50-thousand dollars to donate to Tunnel to Towers Foundation. In June, Zechariah ran a mile for Fulton County Sheriff’s Deputy Troy Chisum.
