Pritzker Signs Bill Expanding Health Insurance Coverage For Screenings

(DeKalb, MN) — A new law is expanding health insurance coverage for breast cancer screenings. Governor J.B. Pritzker signed the bill yesterday in DeKalb. The law expands both private insurance and Medicaid to cover mammograms, ultrasounds, and MRIs as preventative measures to help women detect breast cancer. Around ten-thousand women in Illinois are diagnosed with breast cancer each year.
