Maryland Football Scores 79 in Honor of Former Player

On Saturday, the University of Maryland football team scored a whopping 79 points in a victory over Howard University. Despite the 79-0 win, that was not the headline. Last year, Jordan McNair, an offensive lineman for Maryland, passed away due to heat stroke. Jordan McNair wore #79 in his time as a Terrapin. Saturday the Terrapins scored 79 points in honor of the deceased McNair. Many players used social media as a platform to express their love and honor for McNair as he is greatly missed today.
