
Electronic Waste can be properly recycled Saturday, October 12th, 2019, at 1200 Madison Ave (Leaf and Limb drop-off site), Charleston, IL from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Coles County will hold an electronics recycling event at the Leaf and Limb drop-off site, 1200 Madison Ave, Charleston, IL on Saturday, October 12th, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The event will end when semis are full or 11:00 a.m., whichever comes first. Participants should enter the event using the entrance near the curve in the road and following traffic guidance. This event is open to all Coles County residents. Proof of county residency is required.
Accepted items include computers, computer monitors*, televisions*, electronic keyboards and mice, printers, fax machines, scanners, DVD players and recorders, VCRs, video game consoles, digital converter boxes, cable receivers, satellite receivers, small-scale servers, portable digital music players (memory capability & battery powered).
*$5 fee for each TV and Monitor with a total limit of 7 (seven).
Grose Appliance will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. to receive appliances not accepted at the electronics recycling event such as air conditioners, box fans, ceiling fans, microwaves, and small or large appliances. Contact Grose Appliance by phone at (217) 348-0966 for more details.
It is illegal to place electronics in the trash. Consumers can prevent toxic chemicals and hazardous materials from entering our environment by bringing their old electronics to this event.
